NOAI is open to Thai secondary school students currently studying in Thailand.

Competition Pathway & Timeline
National Qualifying Examination
February - March 2026
Paper-based written examination assessing AI fundamentals, mathematics, and logical reasoning.
Fee: 400 THB
Top-performing students advance to the next stage.
AI Camp at Chulalongkorn University (Invitation Only)
May 2026
On-site training and enrichment aligned with the IOAI syllabus.
National Team Selection
May - June 2026
On-site practical AI assessment.
Fee: 1,000 THB
Thailand National Team selected.
IOAI Team Preparation
June - July 2026
Hybrid training (online and on-site) guided by the Academic Committee.
IOAI International Round
2nd - 8th August 2026
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Individual and team challenges, along with international collaboration workshops.
Syllabus Categories
Theory
(How It Works)
Contestants should understand the core principles and concepts behind AI algorithms - the why behind how they work. This includes studying theoretical foundations through textbooks, courses, and structured learning resources.
Practice
(What It Does & How to Use It)
This section focuses on hands-on implementation. Contestants should be able to apply AI methods in code, select appropriate techniques for a problem, and interpret results using standard AI libraries.
Example: Knowing when and how to use the Adam optimizer, without needing to derive its internal mathematics.
Both
(Theory + Practice)
Some topics require a combination of conceptual understanding and practical application, ensuring contestants can both explain AI methods and use them effectively in real-world tasks.
