Junior Botball Challenge Middle East 2026 – Saudi Arabia

Location: British International School Riyadh, AI Hamra Campus

The JBC Middle East is a regional-level robotics challenge designed to inspire students across the region to develop essential skills in robotics, engineering, programming, and problem-solving.

Bringing together schools and teams from across the Middle East, the event provides a collaborative platform for students to innovate, share ideas, and showcase their creativity through hands-on STEM challenges. Participants design, build, and programme robots to complete mission-based tasks in a real-world inspired setting.

Through this experiential approach, students strengthen not only their technical knowledge but also key transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership preparing them for future academic pathways and careers in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Awards & Recognition

The entry fee is 1,869 THB (60 usd) per participant, based on team size:

  • 2 participants: 3,738 THB (192.62 usd) per team

  • 3 participants: 5,399.54 THB (288.92 usd) per team

 

Team Format

  • 2–3 students per team

  • Coach optional (one coach may support multiple teams)

Competition Levels

JBC offers three participation levels, allowing teams to choose a category that best matches their experience and confidence:

  • Rookie Level – Designed for beginners who are new to robotics competitions.

  • Advanced Level – For teams with prior experience and stronger technical skills.

  • Expert Level – For highly skilled teams ready to take on complex challenges.

 

Who Can Join

Open to schools, tutoring centres, clubs, and independent teams.
Age range: 3–15 years
